Thursday 1 August 2013

Leaders Ulsan Hyundai kept the chasing pack at bay in the K-League after riding out a 3-1 victory at Gyeongnam.

Han Sang-Woon's goal in the 12th minute sent Ulsan into the break with the lead and, after Milan Bubalo equalised in the 70th minute, Chikashi Masuda's brace sealed all three points for the Tigers.

Hot on their heels are Pohang Steelers, who remain a point off the pace following a 4-0 home victory over Gangwon FC.

Park Sung-Ho opened the scoring in the 22nd minute and Cho Chan-Ho helped himself to a hat-trick with goals in the 26th, 53rd and 72nd minutes.

Third-placed Jeonbuk Motors are a further five points behind after beating Daegu FC 1-0 through Seo Sang-Min's 63rd-minute goal at Blue Arc.

Daejeon Citizen are propping up the standings and lost 1-0 at home to Incheon United, for whom Seol Ki-Hyeun grabbed the winner, while Chunnam Dragons pulled away from the bottom of the table and into tenth place with a 2-1 defeat of Seongnam Chunma.

Lee Jong-Ho and Wesley had the game won by half-time but Kim Dong-Sub would pull a goal back just before the break.

Elsewhere, Adilson scored the only goal as FC Seoul beat Jeju United 1-0 and strikes from Chul Hong and Cho Dong-Geon decided a 2-0 win for Suwon Bluewings against Busan I'Park.
